Removing Your Popcorn Ceiling

One of the worse trends from the 1970s was popcorn ceilings. Many home-buyers are finding their homes sporting the outdated look, but getting rid of the popcorn decor is not always the easiest.

However, don’t fret! Here are some simple tips to help you get rid of the dreaded popcorn ceiling.

First, prepare the room. Seal off the room with plastic sheets from floor to ceiling to keep the debris from spreading through your home. Also include a fan in the window for ventilation.

Spray the ceiling down with an adhesive bond to make the removal easier. Wait 10-15 minutes before scraping

Another note, cover electrical sockets and turn off the electricity in the room before starting your project.
