Home Care: Keeping Up On Your Investment

I don't know about you, but I love the warm weather! There is nothing like getting outside and enjoying the great outdoors. However, the warmer days also means it is time to do some maintenance on your home. Some things are obvious, checking your AC to make sure it is running properly and fertilizing your lawn, but what about some of these other things that might not be so apparent.

Inspect your roof for any damage. You should get in the habit of checking your shingles at least once every year to ensure none are loose, worn, or missing.

Give your gutters a good cleaning. Keeping your gutters clear of debris will help the water drain properly, prevent mildew, and prevent your gutters from sagging.

Air out your home. In the mornings or evenings, take a moment to open your windows to let the breeze flow through. This is also a good time to shake out your rugs, wash your electric blankets, and declutter your home.

What are some of your favorite things to do in the summer?
